Kansas City Spring Works
supplies, re-manufactures and alters leaf-type springs for trucks
from the Chevy S-10 to over-the-road tractors. We handle all the connecting parts and hardware, as well as the installation. We don’t manufacture springs in bulk; rather, we customize the vehicles suspension to fit the needs of the customer. We also pride ourselves on our production speed. Most jobs can be completed within two to four hours.
Types of U-Bolt Bends Include:
- Round bend (as to bend around a pipe)
- Semi-round (slightly arched top) usually for GMC, Ford, and Internationals
- Square (corners bent at 90 deg, with flat top) for bed tie downs and some older Fords and GMCs
- Rounded corners (similar to square except larger rounder radius at bends.
- Forged top. A bend where the crown of the u-bolt material is flattened before tempering. Also known as “Banded top”.
