Kansas City Spring Works supplies, manufactures, re-manufactures and alters leaf-type springs for trucks from the Chevy S-10 to over-the-road tractors. We handle all the connecting parts and hardware, as well as the installation. We don’t manufacture springs in bulk; rather, customize suspensions to fit the needs of the customer. We also pride ourselves on our production speed. Most jobs can be completed within two to four hours.
As the third generation of the Fasl family that runs Kansas City Spring Works, Frank Fasl III and his cousin Robert Fasl Jr. keep alive a tradition that has survived for nearly 100+ years.
“One-day service is a very important aspect of our business,” Robert Fasl said. “Because in transportation, they need their trucks.” The Fasls also believe that having the highest quality springs and superior customer service is key to our success. Now with Robert Jr. as chairman and Frank Ill as president, the company has moved into the 21st century, something they admit was hard for their fathers to do.
One thing, however, has not changed at K.C. Spring Works; the old ways still rule the way we run our business. Robert and Frank remember what their fathers taught them and what their grandfather taught their fathers. We don’t cut corners, even if our customers sometimes ask for it.
“We’ll send them to another competitor before we do it wrong,” Frank said.
